The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abang has advised students
to work closely with the Police to ensure safety of lives and property.
Mr. Abang stated this when he received delegation from National Association of Nigerian Students from Ebonyi state which was at the Command to confer an award on Deputy Superintendent Of Police in Charge of Anti corruption and Piracy, Princess Nkiru Nwode, at the
state Police Command in Amawbia.
He urged them to shun acts capable of destroying their future and to
be children of reputable character even as he appreciated them for honouring one of his staff.
Receiving the award, Princess Nwode appreciated the students for the
honour given her, saying that it will spur her to do more for the good
of the society.
She advised them to always be civil in expressing whatever grievances
they have so as not to infringe on the rights of others, thereby
incurring the wrath of the law .
DSP Nwode also urged them to shun cultism and other negative acts that
can destroy their future but to be committed to their studies.
The leader of the delegation and the Director, Personnel Affairs, NANS
Zone B, Comrade Joshua Onwe explained that the recognition was to
appreciate her invaluable contributions towards re-branding the image
of the Force in the State and to encourage her to do more.
