Anambra state government has inaugurated a seventeen-man Caretaker Committee to pilot the affairs of Agba-Edo United Traders Association F-Line Nnewi, for the period of six months. The state Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Dr. Christian Mmadubuko inaugurated the members at the Jerome Udoji Secretary Awka. Correspondent, Chibuzo Obidike reports that the move was necessitated due to the inability of the Association to conduct fresh election resulting to series of  misunderstandings. The Caretaker Committee has its chairman as Mr. Joseph Enuma, and Secretary, Mr. Okechukwu Chibuike among others.Addressing members of the committee, Dr. Madubuko charged them with the responsibility of maintaining peace, cleanliness as well as prepare an enabling environment for elections to hold. He urged them to ensure cordiality, accountability and transparency in their dealings with traders to restore confidence in the market for easy recovery of government stallage fees.In  their separate  remarks,  the Vice President General of Anambra State Market Amalgamated Traders Association, ASMATA, Mr. Obinna Okechukwu, an Industrialist, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, represented by Veronica Nweke and Chairman Nnewi market, Chief Edward Muozomu as well as the immediate past chairman of Agba-Edo United Traders Association F-Line, Mr. Christopher Osujekwu affirmed that they will work hand in hand with the Committee to achieve the set goals and restore peace and sanity in the market. Responding, the chairman of the Caretaker committee, Mr. Enuma assured that the members of the committee will execute and surpass the mandate given to them as they are people of integrity and good reputation.
