Igbo stakeholders have been urged to support the resolution of South
East Governors to reposition the zone for sustainable development.

Speaking to journalists in Awka, the Chairman of Willie Obiano support
Group, Chief Jude Emecheta said regional security network would enable
the states of the zone to generate and exchange intelligence as well
as effectively eliminate cross boarder crimes.

Chief Emecheta noted that already, Governor Willie Obiano has
established an efficient and functional security architecture that
should serve as a model  and template for the zone to achieve the desired goals.

He called on Ndigbo to explore the untapped abundant opportunities in
the agricultural value chain for effective harnessing of resources in
the sector and further expand investment frontiers that would create
employment opportunities.

Chief Emecheta explained that cow breeding would open a fresh window
to tap the rich potential in animal husbandry and establishment of
more agro-allied industries.  

He called on youths to deploy their knowledge of ICT in making career
in agriculture to become self reliant and attain their full potential
in life.

A Youth Leader, Comrade Chijioke Abazu urged communities to encourage
and assist their youths to embark on agricultural ventures.

Comrade Abazu noted that this would reduce social vices and eliminate
crime and criminal activities.
