Members of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Art Workers Union, RATTAWU, South East zone have solicited the support of Anambra State Government in making their forthcoming National Conference a success.
The group made this plea during a courtesy visit to the State Commissioner for information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba in his office at the Jerome Udorji State Secretariat Awka.
Among the team that visited the Commissioner were some executive
members of the union from the states across South East including, Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, and Abia.
Stating the reason for their visit, the leader of the team and the National Vice President South East Zone, Prince Emeka Kalu said that the Association has chosen Anambra as their host state for the
upcoming National Conference slated to hold on twelfth to fourteenth September 2019.
He said that the event will attract their members in their thousands which
according to him will boost revenue generation of the state and help
to showcase the achievements of Governor Willie Obiano and also the
rich cultural heritage of the state.
Receiving the team, the Information Commissioner Mr. Adinuba who
promised to present their request to the Governor gave them assurance of positive response from the Governor not just by giving them financial support but by being physically present on the day of
the occasion.
Mr. Adinuba stated that his reason for being optimistic about it was because the present administration led by Governor Obiano is media friendly and also loves associating with success and identifying with people of great minds, positive and creative thinking.
Mr Adinuba urged them to remain visionary, committed and integrity
conscious in their endeavor.
In his remarks , the Anambra state chapter President of RATTAWU,
Comrade Andy Onwualu and the Vice Chairman of the Union, Radio
Nigeria Enugu Chapter, Comrade Trish Ezeh who expressed satisfaction
with the Commissioner’s response appreciated him for having received
them with much happiness and encouragement.
