Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps says it will embark on issuance of class “A” driving licence and compulsory registration of tricycle and motorcycle Operators across the State by
October this year.
Its Sector Commander, Mr Andrew Kumapayi disclosed this when he led
his team on a courtesy visit to the Anambra State Director of the National Orientation Agency Mr Charles Nwoji in his office in Awka.
The Sector Commander, who said that the compulsory plate number registration exercise will cover both commercial tricycle and motorcycle operators in the State, advised them to ensure that they
register at approved places.
While canvassing for the support of the National Orientation Agency in its grassroot mobilization and sensitization to ensure the success of the exercise, Mr Kumapayi maintained that the Command is liaising with the Anambra State Ministry of Transport to ensure that tricycle operators in the State are duly registered, adding that they have
produced a comprehensive data of the tricycle and the motorcycle operators in the State.
Responding, the State Director of the National Orientation Agency Mr Nwoji maintained that the agency and the Federal Road Safety Corps have always had a symbiotic relationship.
