Slovenian second division side NK Drava Dakinda has appointed former Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen, as its new Technical Director.


The fifty-three-year-old Eguavoen until his appointment was coach of Zakynthos Football Club, in Greece.


NK Drava Dakinda has in their ranking three Nigerian players namely Temitope Nelson, Mathias Fanimo and Simon Oduh.


Eguavoen is one of the ex-players of the 1994 Eagles to have managed a team outside Nigeria, after the late Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh, Daniel Amokachi and Emmanuel Amuneke.


He previously managed Sliema Wanderers, Bendel Insurance, Black
Leopards, Enyimba, Sharks Football Club, Gombe United and Sunshine Stars.


He was capped forty-nine times by Nigeria.


 Eguavoen featured for the Eagles at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups in USA and France respectively.
