The Enugu state Investment Development Authority has visited their sister agency in Anambra on a two day peer learning and pre investment evaluation tour. 


Receiving the delegation,  Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency  alongside the members of Department for International Development enlightened them on the basic requirements that makes a state favourable for investors and also took them around the state to visit some  partnership  investments in Anambra state.


The two day events began with a lecture and interactive session after which the delegation  from Enugu were taken to see the Anambra V.I.O computerized vehicle inspection center Awka. 


The teams  also visited  Coscharis Mill and farm  at Igbariam and Anaku respectively. 


Other places visited were Sunny Peace Industries Limited Onitsha and Oba factories as well as the Five star Golden Tulip Hotels Agulu.


During the visit, the owners of the companies  including Mr Sunday Ogbu, the Chairman of Sunny Peace industries limited, took the visitors around to view the facilities and explains why they invested in Anambra  and expressed their readiness to replicate such in other  states across the South East including Enugu if the required  conditions are met.


Earlier, the Managing Director, Enugu State Investment Development Authority Mr Chibuzor Okafor noted that the enormous achievements of Anambra state government in the area of investment both foreign and domestic  through ANSIPPA since it’s establishment  in 2014 inspired them to choose Anambra to enlighten  them on  the policies they adopted to achieve such feat.


In their separate remarks, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Investment Promotion and  Protection Agency, Mr Jide Ikeako and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Investment and the ANSIPPA Head of Strategy and Planning, Mrs Uju Manafa-Nwume expressed  the hope that collaboration among  the states of the South East region will accelerate  development in the area.


They said that Anambra is ready to share ideas with other states to help develop the region as Ebony will also  visit Anambra on study tour soon .
