Some communities in Awka North local government area have benefited from the empowerment programme initiated by the member, representing the Constituency in the State Assembly, Mr. John Nwokoye.Again ten students from the communities received scholarship award from secondary school level to university.
Mr. Nwokoye also during the empowerment programme, which he said is in fulfillment of his campaign promises, provided vaccines to all the healthcare centers within his constituency as well as access to free health care service to one hundred persons.According to the Legislator, after touring Amansea, Ebenebe, Ugbenu, Ugbene and Awba-Ofemmili, equitable representation of his people is top on his priority list.
He however, thanked Governor Willie Obiano for his ongoing intervention in the state and appealed for his intervention on some roads in Awka North.
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Obiano on Health Matters, Mrs. Kate Edozieh, said that the empowerment programme of the Lawmaker shows a profound commitment and zeal in serving the people.The Director General of John Nwokoye’s Campaign Organization, Chief Chukwukadibie Nwannebuike, and the President General of Awba-Ofemmili, Dr Ikechukwu Offorkansi affirmed that within a short time in office, Mr. Nwokoye has demonstrated eloquent testimony of quality representation. Some of the beneficiaries, including Ukamaka Otugo, Mr. Francis Obi and Mọdee Tochukwu said that they were highly overwhelmed by the kind gesture and prayed God to reward the lawmaker abundantly.
