Couples have been advised to avoid strife and anger in their union, as they are capable of marring it.


The Pastor in charge of Amenyi Awka Zone of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Olatunde Oduwole made the call during a holy matrimony service between Blessing Adaeze Imoka, daughter of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Economic Planning ,Budget And Development Partners, Mr Leo Imoka and Chinedu Destiny Odudu of Edo State.


Pastor Olantunde said that for any marriage to succeed, couples must involve Jesus Christ in all the affairs of the family, understand, honour and be open to each other.


Pastor Oduwole called on family and friends to always pray for them and avoid misleading them with negative advice to enable them enjoy their marriage.


In his remarks during the reception, the Chairman of the occasion, Mr Chidi Akaenyi said marriage is unique and with certain principles, they will live happily even as he called on their parents to give them time to experiment on their marriage.


The parents of the bride, Mr and Mrs Leo Imoka, expressed happiness for the union saying that God gave his daughter a perfect match as the husband is a man of God with other good qualities, praying God to bless their home even as they cautioned their daughter to uphold all she was taught and make her home enviable .


Also speaking, the father of the groom, Senior Pastor Emeka Odudu, noted that love has made manifest between his son and daughter in law , advising them to consolidate on this love, and to be the strength of each other for their marriage to be successful.


While thanking God for his grace which united them, the newly weeded couple, Reverend Chinedu and Mrs Blessing Odudu said they found each other in love and will abide by it for as long as they live.
Correspondent, Amaka Chibuzo Okoye reports that the Wife of Bishop, Christian Church Of God Mission, Benin City, Reverend Mrs Helen Iyawe, prayed for the blessings of God upon the new couples while exchange of marital vows, rings, signing of register, cutting of cake and other side attractions added glamour to the wedding.
