The Anambra State Police Command has restated its commitment to security of life and property.


The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abang stated this during an ABS Radio audience participatory programme, “View point” in Awka.


Mr Abang who spoke on the topic, Community Safety and Public Partnership, reassured the public that the police in Anambra is ready at all times to ensure the safety of the State residents.


He re-emphasized that bailing is free for offences that are bailable, calling on Ndi Anambra to always approach his office and make a report anytime their fundamental human rights are trampled on, especially by police officers.


Some callers on the programme including Mr Stanley from Ihiala, Raymond from Ifite-Ogwari and Kenechukwu from Ebonyi State, commended the Commissioner of Police for his great zeal towards protecting the citizens right and commitment to duty.


They expressed the hope that such programmes will boost the collaboration between the police and the general public as well, strengthen and upgrade the security status of the State.
