No fewer than ten persons were killed in an auto-crash involving a 911 truck loaded with rods and two commercial buses.
The accident occurred yesterday at the intersection along the Agulu Lake in Anaocha Local Government Area.
Governor Willie Obiano cut short the State Executive Council meeting at the Government House Awka, to visit the accident scene.
From the scene, Governor Obiano visited the nearby hospital where he was told that even the driver of the bus was confirmed dead, while the truck driver survived with major injuries.
The cause of the accident is still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
Governor Obiano who extended his condolences to the family members, who lost their beloved ones, assured of his government’s support to the victims, adding that a barrier will be constructed on the road to ensure safety of peoples life.
