In what can be best described as responsiveness to social responsibilities on the part of youths, the Ezi- Awka Youths Awka, in Awka South Local Government area have commenced palliative work on most of the major roads in the community.


Our correspondent witnessed the exercise and reports that while speaking on the essence of the exercise, the Chairman, Ezi-Awka Youths, Mr. Obinna Charles-Ijeoma said the youths of the community, made up of seven villages mobilised themselves and sourced funds to assist the state government to rehabilitate some roads across the community and beyond, saying that government cannot do it alone.


Mr. Charles-Ijeoma noted that the palliative work will cut across all the villages in the community based on the availability of fund and charged Anambra youths to channel their energy and resources to things that will benefit them and the society.


The Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths Mobilization, Comrade Ossy Onuko who is a native of Ezi-Awka, applauded the youths for a job well done, saying that what they have done is worthy of emulation.
Comrade Onuko further charged Anambra youths to always engage themselves in meaningful ventures in order to stay away from social vices.
