The All Progressives Grand Alliance Party, APGA says it will soon embark on re-validation exercise for it’s members.

The hint was dropped yesterday during a retreat of the Anambra State Chapter of the party for the party’s State executive members as well as elected House of Assembly and National Assembly members.
Governor Willie Obiano participated in the retreat held at Royal Garden Hotel, Nibo.

The essence of the retreat which drew many of the party faithful in Anambra, was to look inwards and restrategize it’s activities . The retreat has the theme, “Thirteen years of APGA Glorious Government in Anambra State, Need for sustainability”.

Governor Obiano called on party faithful to use the opportunity offered by the retreat to bond, and advance the good of the party as proud members.

The Governor who emphasized that APGA is not a one man party, but collectively owned, said that APGA is the only party with structure on ground, calling on members to be courageous and give their best as they prepare to launch into the coming elections.

The National Chairman of the Party, Chief Victor Oye who stressed that the party cards issued to members, expired at the end of four years, hence the need to revalidate and issue new ones, lauded Governor Obiano’s maximum support to the party.

He pledged to continue to grow the party, projecting it at National level, and assured that come 2022 and 2023, APGA will retain Anambra and get other seats.

A member of BOT of APGA, Chief Chukwuemeka Ojukwu Junior, who appealed to the emotions of party faithful, urged them to be mindful of where they are coming from, and his late father’s sacrifice of nurturing an Igbo party and enjoined his fellow party members not to allow the legacy to go down the drain.

Earlier, while calling for unity of purpose as well as general gains above personal gains, the State Chairman of APGA, Sir Norbert Obi, stressed that the task ahead is onerous.
