Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, AIRS, will commence
enforcement for non-remittance of Pay- As-You-Earn, PAYE, deductions
from first October, 2019 in line with provisions of personal income
Tax Act, 2011 and PAYE Scheme regulations of 2012.

A release signed by Mrs. Sylvia Tochukwu Ngige, Deputy and Head Tax
Payer education and enlightenment team, Anambra state Internal revenue
directs all employers of labour in the state to deduct and remit all
PAYE arrears before the stated day and to visit Anambra state Internal
Revenue Service monthly with evidence of PAYE remittance and a
schedule or list of their employees, showing their salaries and tax
paid.

It also reminded employers that ANNSID registration is compulsory for
their company and their employees adding that any employer that fails
to comply with the directives commits an offence which attracts
penalties adding that Anambra state government will not hesitate to
use the full force of law to recover any debt owed the state.
