Residents of Onitsha and environs have been notified that the
pedestrian bridge at MCC junction, Onitsha –Enugu Expressway will
undergo routine maintenance by Julius Berger PLC from Monday
twenty-third September, to Monday fourth October, 2019.
According
to a statement signed by the Commissioner for Works Mr Marcel Ifejiofor
, the pedestrian bridge will be temporarily closed within
the period of maintenance.
The statement added that one lane of the Onitsha – Enugu expressway will be partially closed to motorists and tricycle operators within the period.
It advised pedestrians, motorists and tricycle operators to cooperate with the construction company, the Military, Police and Road Safety personnel who will control traffic along the busy road to ensure timely completion of the routine maintenance.
