A one day capacity building workshop for commitment; based organisations has ended in Awka, Anambra state capital.
The workshop, aimed at training community -based organisations on the budget process, attracted Civil Society from Anambx Correspondent, Queen Anigbogu reports that the resource person who is also Head Tracka, Mr. Uadamen Ilevbaoje, described budget as the second most important document after the constitution.

capacity of the participating organisations on monitoring public projects in the budget in their respective states.
Later in an interview, the chairman, Anambra state Civil Society Network ,Prince Chris Azoh, explained that the training was to help the citizens understand the content of the budget, how to track it as well as to know how it affects them.
He mentioned the challenges the CSOs encounter while tracking the budget to include knowledge gap between the citizens and the government, lack of transparency and organization among the citizens and numerous others.
On the sensitization of the citizens to enable them understand the budget, Mr. Azoh highlighted various ways the CSOs have been sensitizing the masses but disclosed that there is still room for improvement.
The workshop, which was an interactive one, featured group work.
