Chinese government has expressed willingness to do more exchanges with Anambra State government to attract more investments.


The Chinese Consul General to Nigeria, Mr. Chu Maoming, who called on Governor Willie Obiano at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, announced this after their closed door meeting.


Government house correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that according to Mr. Maoming, Chinese government understands that Ndi Anambra are business people that patronize China and noted that China and Nigeria have a rich history of exchanges for years.


The Consul General said that Chinese government is willing to teach local people in the State, their language for easier exchanges, assuring that China will continue to assist Chinese firms willing to do business in Nigeria.


On his part, Governor Obiano said that they discussed erosion control and flood management, green and clean energy, how they can participate in Anambra airport city project, among other issues.


Governor Obiano, who stressed the possibility of locally manufacturing of such items that take Anambra business people to China and noted that a formal application had been made to Chinese government to establish a Consul office in Anambra, which will be possibly sited at Onitsha main market, for accessibility.
