Anambra state government has acquired one hundred and nine vehicles with sixty from Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing Company to consolidate the second phase of “Operation Kpochapu” scheduled to be launched on Friday this week.


The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba announced this when Association of Anambra Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture called on him in his office at the Jerome Udoji state secretariat Awka.


 Ebele Ezeh reports that  Mr. Adinuba,  who said that the  on going super smart CCTV  installation will be the first in Africa because it is coming all the way from Boston and explained that  they will start with the three major cities of Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi and finally across other parts of  the state.


While noting  that Anambra state is synonymous with excellence, Mr. Adinuba also announced that all is now set for the establishment of Court of Appeal in the state as Governor Willie Obiano has  provided accommodation for them free of cost. 


He assured them that he will present to the governor the estimate  to organize an International trade fair.


Speaking earlier,  the President, Awka Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture and leader of the delegation,  Mr. Stephen Nduaguba said they came to solicit the Commissioners support in making this year’s trade fair an International one.


Mr. Nduaguba revealed that this year’s edition with the theme “Partnering with government and organized Private sector for Economic Advancement and job creation”, will commence on the 25th November to 5th December 2019 at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square Awka.
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Mechanization, Processing and Export, Mr. Nnamdi Onukwuba represented by the Director of Agric in the ministry, Mr. Boniface Nweke while describing the ministries partnership with the association as strategic, assured their readiness to mobilize all their partners and investors.


In  his remarks , the Vice President, Public Relations, Awka Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Mr. Don Onyenji affirmed that Governor Obiano has supported and actively participated in previous trade fairs hence the reason why all the sectors of the state economy is simultaneously growing.
