More than forty-five articulated vehicles have so far been impounded by Officers and Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps since the commencement of a clamp down on such vehicles that violate traffic rules and regulation.

The FRSC embarked on the exercise as part of efforts to reduce road crashes being caused by such vehicles across the State.

Speaking to the ABS during the clamp down exercise on the Awkuzu axis of the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, the sector Commander of the Federal Road safety Corps in Anambra State, Mr Andrew Kumapayi regretted the series of accidents being caused by petroleum tanker drivers in the State with the recent fire outbreak in Onitsha and maintained that the Federal Road Safety Corps will leave no stone unturned to ensure sanity on the highways especially now that the yuletide is fast approaching.

According to Mr Kumapayi, the clamp down which commenced last Wednesday will run through early 2020.
