Ndi Anambra have been asked to always support the developmental strides of the present government by remaining law abiding.

Governor Willie Obiano made the call during a church service at Saint Monica’s Anglican Church Enugwu-Ukwu, in Njikoka local Government Area.

Governor Obiano represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke who said that the present administration will keep working for the betterment of the state in all spheres of the economy, called on the people to always partner the government by adhering to their civic responsibilities.

He encouraged them to endeavour to report any suspicious movement or activities around them to security agencies, in order to ensure safety of all especially this yuletide.

The Governor said that work has commenced on some dilapidated roads in the state and would soon be extended to other areas in such condition across the state as the rains subside.

Earlier in a sermon, the Parish Priest of Saint Monica’s Anglican Church, Reverend Emmanuel Ogboo, who spoke through a Church teacher in the parish, Mr Chinonso Adikuru, warned Christians against pride and self glorification, which according to him, lead to humiliation, disgrace, loss of dominion, and above all, physical and spiritual death.

He charged them to always follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ who humbled himself and gave His life for all on the cross of Calvary.

Rendition by the choir, and special prayers for the needy, Anambra state and Nigeria featured at the church service.
