The World Bank in collaboration with the European Union has directed staff of SEEFOR Community Driven Development to come to under study the modalities Anambra state Community and Social Development Agency is using to achieve quality projects in shortest period. This was evident at a two-day visit to the state by the Rivers State staff of SEEDFOR CDDS World Bank and EU- assisted.

Ebele Ezeh reports that while inspecting some Community and Group Development projects executed by the Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency in Nawgu community, Dunukofia local government area, the team leader, Sir Thankgod Amaewhule, who described their visit to Anambra state as awesome said they were sent by the World Bank and EU to come and learn the secrets behind the state Community and Social Development Agency’s success story.

While commending the Anambra state Community and Social Development Agency for performing creditably well , Sir Thankgod described the level of implementation if community development projects as impressive adding that they will replicate same in what they do in their state SEEFOR CDDS. After interacting with the beneficiaries, at different project cites visited, Sir Thankgod advised them to maintain and sustain the projects for posterity. Mr Chudi Mojekwu said following the World Bank Supervision team visit to the state last three weeks and their level of satisfaction on the project implementation, they will bring in other projects to learn their model on how to execute quality projects in a very short period of time.

Mr. Mojekwu, who described the team as the second batch following the visit of the first team last week, announced that they have shared experiences with them.

He said with the support from the state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, and co-operation with relevant ministries, they will work harder.

The Chairman, Chukwuemeka Vulnerable Group Nawgu, that benefited a water borehole and skills acquisition center, Mr Uche Okafor during interactive session with the team said they chose the micro projects to avail them the opportunity of becoming independent.
