Fifty two rooms used by prostitutes in a popular brothel in Kara was also demolished.
However, in recognition of freedom of worship, places of worship cited in the Kara area were left undemolished as at the time of filing this report.
Addressing the press shortly after the exercise, Mr Anene said that the exercise was hitch free, recalling that the same exercise was executed in Kara about a month ago and most of the illegal occupants later came back again.
He disclosed that there are plans by the government to condone the areas off to prevent entry and recalled that a similar exercise had been done at the Ogbunike Toll gate four consecutive times, noting that high population often results to brothels and shanties leading to criminals making use of the place.
He called on the State citizenry to be law abiding and seekv approved places for doing business, rather than a temporary place which stands the the risk of being destroyed.
Some of the affected persons pleaded that government should have given them enough notice before embarking on such exercise
