The Youth wing Christian Council of Nigeria YOWICCN Anambra State Chapter has organised it’s fifth edition of festival of nine lesson and carols.


The event which which also featured the review of the third edition of magazine “Platform” published by the youths was held at St Mary’s Anglican Church Omagba Phase one Onitsha.


The festival of nine lessons with the theme “Integrity: the Master’s Lifestyle was Christmas songs all the way with it’s associated nine lessons revealing the mystery behind the birth of Jesus Christ.


St Mark’s Anglican Church Choir thrilled the congregation with various tunes.


Delivering his Christmas message, the Bishop on the Niger Right Reverend Owen Nwokolo described Christmas as a message of glad tides and hope as it carries the message of salvation that will liberate man from any challenge he is passing through.


Bishop Nwokolo who is also the Chairman Christian Council of Nigeria Anambra state chapter regretted many challenges the country is pass through and urged Christians to stand firm on their faith as Christ will make a way out for them.


Reviewing the third edition of Platform Magazine of the Council, the reviewer Professor Stella Okunna commended the courage and sensitivity of the youths which came to bare in the forty page magazine which according to her would serve as the mouth piece of the youths thereby retaining their relevance in the society.


In his vote of thanks, the Chairman Youth wing Christian Council of Nigeria Comrade Chinedu Ndibe urged the youths to remain focused, use their talent to create job for themselves, shun bad gang thugry, cultism and other social vices, bemoaning the level of unemployment in the society which according to him is staggering


Speaking to the ABS later in an email interview, the Archdeacon Omagba Archdeaconry venerable Samuel Ezewudo advised the youths to always reflect on the essence of Christmas and shun any negative tendency that could mar their future.


The Bishop Methodist Diocese Of Onitsha and Vice Chairman CCN, Right Reverend Livinus Onuagha was represented by Sir Wellington Asiegbu, while the Divisional Commander Salvation Army Anambra West, Major John Okpalaihedi was represented by Captain Onyeka Chiekwe.
Highpoint of the event was presentation by Salvation Army Choir.
