Christians have been called upon to use this yuletide to rededicate themselves to Christ rather than as a period to amass material wealth.

The Vicar in charge, Chapel of the Healing Cross, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, Reverend Nnaedozie Chukwuogor, made the call during a Sunday service.

Reverend Chukwuogor, whose service dwelt on the theme, “Preparing For the Second Coming of Jesus”, reminded the Faithful why it is important to get set for the second coming.

The Priest stressed that most Christians are carried away by a lot of things and hardly have time for Christ, who is the reason for the season, urging them to prepare a room for Jesus in their heart this season.

Also, in his homily at the Divine Mercy Chaplaincy, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, Reverend Father Justine Ezechukwu, urges all to stand firm and not to stumble in their faith this season, despite all the trials and tribulations they are facing.

Reverend Father Ezechukwu, stated that courage, and patience are the keys to work with God, as according him, those who are alert spiritually and stand firm in God cannot be distracted by the tricks of the devil.
The Sunday Mass featured praises, thanksgiving and prayers for the Nation.
