Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, has organized a one-day workshop and end of year party for its members.
The workshop which took place at the ABS corporate headquarters in Awka was aimed at getting the journalists ready for year 2020, in addition to helping them improve more on their profession.
In his speech, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Uche Nworah represented by the Director of News and Current Affairs Department, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze described communication as sharing of experiences between two or more persons, and charged the people to always engage in learning, for enhanced productivity describing learning as a continuous process.
Chief Nworah also called on them to always try to improve on their profession in order to remain relevant, even as he urged them to put into practice all they would learn during the programme.
Earlier in her remarks, the Chairman Caretaker Committee of the ABS Chapel? of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Ebele Eze emphasized the need for members to make love and unity their watchword.
The event has its theme as: Setting Agenda for 2020.
