Media Practitioners have been charged to adapt to the digitization process to make themselves visible and valuable in the modern information communication.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Uche Nworah gave the charge during a one-day workshop and end of year party, organized by the ABS chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ in Awka.
Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer who was represented by the Director, News and Current Affairs Department of the establishment, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze, said for an effective communication to be achieved, there must be Omni-directional-step-flow among senders and receivers.
He called for team work in News gathering for enhanced productivity and better service delivery.
Chief Nworah took time to review the activities in the ABS News and Current Affairs Department so far.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Chairman Caretaker Committee of the ABS Chapel of the NUJ, Comrade Ebele Eze encouraged members to join hands for the actualization of their collective goals.
Members of the Union were given chance to air their views on issues discussed during the event.
The workshop, with the theme, ”Setting Agenda For 2020”, was aimed at preparing Media Practitioners for the year 2020.
