The Member representing Awka South Constituency Two in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Chief Chukwuma Okoye has offered scholarship to sixty Senior and Junior Secondary School Students in his constituency.


House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuememka Modilim reports that the award which took place at his constituency office was the first of its kind in the history of the constituency.


Chief Okoye explained that the beneficiaries took part in the examination conducted for one thousand Students that took part in a free holiday lesson he organized this year adding that they wereselected from the Seven communities within his constituency. The lawmaker who described education as gateway to success urged thosewho benefited from his scholarship scheme to work harder to be useful to themselves and the society.


In his remark, the project Co-ordinator, Mr Emmanuel Nwana expressed joy that the people of Awka South Constituency Two, made the right choice in Chief Okoye as he executes projects that touches life and called on others to emulate him.
Some of the beneficiaries, Chidiogo Ezewulu and Calista Ekemezie who were full of gratitude thanked the lawmaker for his magnanimity, assuring that they will not disappoint him.
