As Christians all over the world celebrate Christmas, the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Uche Okafor has urged Nigerians to use this opportunity offered by the season to resolve to love one another and to live together in harmony.
In his Christmas message, Honourable Okafor enjoined politicians and religious leaders to be more statesmanlike, law abiding and place greater interest of the country above all personal or sectional interest.
The Speaker appealed to President Mohammed Buhari to include in his 2020 broadcast, the immediate reconstruction of all failed federal roads in the southeast zone and appoint more people from the zone in his cabinet.
He said that since Jesus Christ preached and ensured peace among people and nations, Christians and non Christians should pursue peace at all times and shun those things that could disunite the country.
While wishing Ndi Anambra a happy Christmas celebration, Honourable Okafor urged them to remain peaceful and loving and strengthen support to Governor Willie Obiano in order to move the state to greater heights.
