The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Mr Isa Pantami,
says he is in support of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s directive on
the reduction of the cost of electronic cash transactions as well as
Automated Teller Machine card maintenance fees.
According to the Minister, the development will contribute to the
growth of a digital economy in the country, as Lower service charges
will encourage the use of electronic services, especially in the
banking and financial services sector.
Mr Pantami, wants decision makers to make policies that will support
the growth of the country’s digital economy.
