Ezejiamatu Foundation, a charitable organization founded by Chief Nnamdi Emechebe, Chief Executive Officer of NADISCO Oil and Gas Limited, has been launched at Okija.



The Foundation also unveiled its programs for the year 2020 which included Quiz Competition for Primary and Secondary Schools in Okija, Second phase of Ezejiamatu Foundation skills acquisition program, free health care, football competition for the youths and Ezejiamatu live show.


Speaking at the event, the founder, Chief Emechebe, who hails from Okija said his major aim of setting-up the foundation is to assist the less privileged access education and empower those who want to acquire skills to complement government’s efforts in empowering youths of Anambra state.


Speaking on the activities of the foundation, the Secretary, Honourable Frank Igbojindu said the Foundation, which began two months ago, has empowered twenty-five persons from Okija in ICT Education as well as quiz competition for secondary schools in Okija and promised to include primary schools in the next round.


Hon Igbojindu who is also the chairman, Akpoazaa group, while promising to extend the empowerment to Ihiala and Ebonesii, stated that the Foundation is out to take every willing youth to the next level.


The traditional ruler of Okija, Igwe Emeka Okezie commended the zeal of the founder to assist his people and urged him to move to the grassroots to fish-out the needy and called for reorientation on the part of the beneficiaries to enable them understand and appreciate the lofty gesture.


The chairman on the occasion, High Chief Chukwugbogu Agwaniru called for the sustenance of the gesture while Reverend Canon Ikechukwu Onuchukwu of St Stephen’s Anglican Church Okija, prayed God to bless the founder and encouraged the beneficiaries to embrace the opportunity offered by the foundation to upgrade themselves.
