A former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Soludo, has been conferred with a chieftaincy title of Odenjiji Aguleri by the traditional ruler of Aguleri, Igwe Michael Idigo.


Professor Soludo, who is the Chairman of Anambra State Vision 2070 Committee and Member of the Economic Advisory Council of President Muhammadu Buhari, received the honour during the One hundred and twentieth Ovala Aguleri and first Ovala of Igwe Michael Idigo.


Others who received chieftaincy titles during the festival were Doctor Clems Nwogbo, and Chief Austine Oguejiofor an illustrious son of Enukwu Ukwu.


In his speech , Igwe Idigo, commended them for their outstanding performances in the state and beyond, urging them to sustain it and remain true ambassador of the society.


Responding, the beneficiaries who congratulated Eze Aguleri on his first Ovala and One hundred and twentieth Ovala Aguleri, thanked the community for choosing them and promised to put in their best in the service of God and humanity.


The event which showcased the rich cultural heritage of Aguleri kingdom, attracted people from various walks of life, including traditional rulers, government functionaries and illustrious sons and daughters of Aguleri both at home and in the Diaspora.
