The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Uche Okafor has said that there is a hand of God in Governor Willie Obiano’s administration in view of his numerous achievements in the state as well as the honours he has received from various socio-cultural and religious bodies.


In his congratulatory message to the Governor on his conferment of the exalted Papal Knighthood by Pope Francis in Rome, Honourable Okafor described the honour as well deserved, noting that Governor Obiano has truly rendered quality service to God and humanity.


The speaker, who commended the Governor for his continuous assistance to the churches in the state, urged various religious bodies to always pray for him for more strength and wisdom to be able to continue his good governance.
He expressed satisfaction with the manner the heads of various churches in the state are utilizing the regular monetary disbursements by Governor Obiano for the upkeep of the mission schools in the state and called for more synergy between the church and the present administration.


Honourable Okafor on behalf of the state legislature, paid glowing tribute to Pope Francis for strengthening the spiritual life of Governor Obiano through the conferment of the Papal knighthood on him.
