Ndi Anambra living abroad have been urged to embrace the “Akuluouno” initiative of the Governor Willie Obiano-led administration, as the state has strong security network and attractive business environment.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Okpala, made the appeal when the Old Aguata Diaspora Group paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Awka.

Blessing Uchendu reports that
its Coordinator, Sir Ralph Obijiofor, said that the group was formed over five years ago to bring Ndi Anambra living abroad together.

He added that the visit was to meet the important stakeholders in the state in order to discuss the progress and challenges facing the state and to help them to understand the importance of investing at home and bringing their children back home to assimilate their cultural heritage.

While receiving the group, Dr Okpala, expressed satisfaction that more people were beginning to heed the Akuluouno call of the present administration, which he said was one of the ways to develop the state.
