History is being made in the industrial city of Nnewi, the acclaimed Japan of Africa as efforts at harmonizing the investment drive for the ancient city is taking a new dimension with the hosting of the maiden Nnewi Investment Summit.
The two day summit has kicked off with a tour of major investment clusters in the city by the participants of the Summit that include the Anambra State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr Mark Okoye, top government officials, investors, policy makers , development experts and the media.
The tour commenced with a visit to Ngobros and Company Nigeria Limited, manufacturers of Babymate Diapers where the team was welcomed by the General Manager, Engineer Chineye Obi.
Other places visited include : Cutix Nigeria Plc, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing and many others.
The Nnewi Investment Summit, sponsored by The Ford Foundation is facilitated by TBWA/Concept Unit, a Lagos based advertising and brand management company in conjunction with Nnewi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture. Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) is the official media partner.
