The Light up Anambra project of Governor Willie Obiano’s administration is still making waves in the state especially in commercial city of Onitsha.
Miriam Chukwuma who witnessed progress of the project in GRA Onitsha reports that most of the streets in GRA which hitherto had been in darkness have received their own fair share of street lighting by the present administration.
The streets that were recently lighted include Otigba-crescent, Hill-crescent, Omu crescent and Onwuamaegbu close all in GRA Onitsha.
Expressing his joy over the development, a landlord in the area, Mr Chukwuemeka Abazu, thanked Governor Obiano for lighting up the streets in G.R.A which usually were in darkness and observed the return of night life in the area.
Baring his mind, one of the drivers who ply the area Mr Joseph Usoro appreciated the laudable achievements of Chief Willie Obiano administration and noted that the lighting of G.R.A Onitsha will further boost security in the area.
Also speaking, a resident in the area Barrister Lizzy Anyaonu was full of praises for the present administration for remembering the area in its light up Anambra State project adding that it will go a long way to alleviate the perennial light problem hampering the living standard of people in the area.
She however appeals that few streets including Ejinkeonye, Malikwu and Omu Road should be included in the next phase.
