Over fifty youths selected from the twenty one local government area of Anambra state recently received a one day free training on Apiculture, Bee keeping value Chain under the ministry of Agriculture, mechanization, processing and export.
The state commissioner for Agriculture, mechanization, processing and Export, Mr. Nnamd Onukwuba said the initiative is part of the state government’s measures to boosting agriculture and engaging the youths meaningfully.
Mr. Onukwuba stated that the exercise will be continuous in other to empower more youths across the state and enjoined them to utilize the opportunity.
On his part, the state President, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, while commending the state government for paying greater attention to youth development, expressed optimism that more youths through this initiative will be gainfully employed.
Some of the participants, including, Christopher Anene, from Onitsha North, and Anadu Chinedu from Nnewi North promised to impact the society positively and commended the state government for its commitment towards the welfare of Ndi Anambra
