The ongoing Twelfth Biennial Nigeria Police Games in Anambra state has
been described as an opportunity to promote cultural affinity among
members of the Nigerian Police Force and Nigerians in general.


Speaking to Journalists in Awka, the state President of Ohameze
Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene said the participants coming from
different cultural background would effectively interact with each
other to appreciate the strength in cultural diversity.


Chief Okeke-Ogene commended Governor Willie Obiano for having the
political will to host the games which he noted has huge socio-economic potential for the state and will further forge strong
spirit of cooperation and collaboration between the states and the
Nigerian police force as well as other security agencies.


He noted that granting Anambra the hosting right was another testimony
of the effective security architecture put in place by Governor Obiano.
Chief Okeke-Ogene extolled the quality of facility put in place for the Games and urged the state Ministry of Sports to ensure proper maintenance of the facilities to help train sports talents in the
state after the games.


The Ohaneze President urged Ndi Anambra to continue to give best
hospitality to the participants and other visitors to the state throughout the duration of the games.
