Christians have been charged to always persevere in life and have absolute faith in God.
The Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha, and Metropolitan of Onitsha Elccelistical Province, Most Reveren Valerian Okeke, gave the charge during his median visit to Saint Patrick Catholic Church Odome- layout Obosi.
Correspondent Festus Obierika, who covered the event, reports that, it was a moment of joy for the parishioners as they received Archbishop Okeke in there Parish for the first time.
Delivery a homily to commemorate the event, Archbishop Okeke, who urged the faithful not to forget God’s kindness and benevolence on them, urged them to always be grateful towards God’s mercies and blessings.
Appreciating Archbishop Okeke, ,the Parish Priest, of the Church, Reverend Father Anthony-Mary Ibeazor, extolled him for making out time to visit his flocks despite his numerous engagements adding that it boosts and strengthened their faith in service of God and Mankind.
Father Ibeazor further called on the parishioners to always do the things of God, Pray often and maintain holy life style.
Over two hundred candidates were administered the Sacrament of Confirmation by the Archbishop Okeke.
In their separate speeches, the Catechist of the church, Sir Callistus Agu, the Vice Chairman Parish Council, Mr. Thomas Echetanze, the Secretary, Parish Council, Mr. Jerry Diovu, Chairman Pastoral Visit, Brother Nwanozie Ben, thanked the Archbishop for the visit.
