Youths they say are the leaders of tomorrow.


This saying came to the fore as speakers at Awkuzu Youths Forum in Abuja harped on the need for youths to be
enterprising and support the work of their Community.


Ekwi Ajide of our Abuja Bureau reports that the youths were enthusiastic about the charge to contribute to community welfare.


Addressing the youths, the chairman Awkuzu Progressive Union, Abuja branch, Mr Gabriel Obiegbu, charged them to be at the fore front of piloting the affairs of the community in other to be at par with other communities in Anambra State.


He explained that the new leadership of the community in the FCT have welfare of its members at heart.


Mr Obiegbu, encouraged the youths to be law abiding, good ambassadors of their community and promote the ideals she is known for so as to project Awkuzu positively to the outside world.


For some youths, including Messrs Sunday Nnacheta and Anthony Ekwealor, the Anambra State government through the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Sir Uchenna Okafor, has done a lot for the community and as such, should be supported to do more.


They disclosed that through self help, majority of Awkuzu youths resident in Abuja shall be gainfully employed by the end of the year.
