The Traditional Ruler of Omor, Igwe Chris Oranu has received an award of Honourary Doctorate Degree from the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.
The award was given to Igwe Oranu at the Igbariam Campus of the University during the tenth convocation ceremony of the institution.Receiving the award, Igwe Oranu in company of his wife said that his joy knows no bound, as the award is special to him because of the university.
he monarch promised that he will continue to contribute his quota in the infrastructural development of the University and commended the granduands for their doggedness over the years.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Greg Nwakoby, who said that the university has recorded some achievements both in academics and infrastructural development, thanked Governor Willie Obiano for his support to the university.
Some of the dignitaries at the event were, a former Governor of Borno State, Senator Alimodu Sheriff, a former Senate President, Dr. Ken Nnamanni among others.
