As the preventive war against Corona Virus Pandemic, CONVID-19, rages in Nigeria, the Anambra state government’s directives for closure of schools were totally complied with across schools in Nnewi axis.

ABS Nnewi correspondent, Chimezie Umeh, who visited schools in the area reports that most schools closed and vacated their students, as directed by the state government.

At Nnewi High School, the Principal of the school, Mr Godwin Aghadinuno, said he dismissed the students after Catholic mothers visited the school by ten o’clock in the morning.

For the Maria Regina Model Comprehensive Secondary School Nnewi, the Manager of the school, Reverend Father Paul Ugbor said that the students vacated as early as seven O’clock in the morning.

ABS visit to Okongwu Memorial Grammar School, Nnewi appeared belated as all the students have left for home.

Some other Private Schools visited, including Vision High School, Umudimkpa Nnewi, Saint Michael Academy, among others have already sent their students home in compliance with the state government’s directive.

Corona virus, which is currently ravaging the entire human race, appears to be making further inroads into Nigeria, hence the preventive measures by government at all levels.
