The Archbishop, Province on the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has commended the Anambra State government on the proactive measures it has adopted to combat the Coronavirus scourge.
Archbishop Ibezim said that the church is worried over the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease globally, but commended the Anambra state government for the proactive measures it has adopted to combat the deadly disease.
Archbishop Ibezim said that the church endorsed all activities of the state government in line with World Health Organization’s approved health standards and promised that they will continue to pray for the complete eradication of the global scourge.
He praised the state government for constituting a twenty three member Action Committee on Covid-19, headed by Governor Obiano to ensure that the plague is contained in Anambra state.
The Prelate reminded the church that security of life and property is everybody’s businesses which must not be toiled with in any guise.
