The Anambra State Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Bishop Moses Ezedebego said his chapter has started implementing all preventive measures over coronavirus as directed by the State government.
Bishop Ezedebego who disclosed this during a press conference in Onitsha said all Churches under the PFN have been mandated to work in line with the directive of the Anambra State government and they are complying, adding that the Christian body has also placed ban on outdoor crusade.
Bishop Ezedebego maintained that they observe the measures recommended by the government which included provision of hand sanitizer in all the Churches, having people sit in distance of three meters during service, sanitising the chairs before and after service among others.
He noted that taking Holy Communion with personal cups and banning of handshake and hugging are already being implemented by Churches under PFN in all parts of Anambra State and explained that PFN has set up seven-man monitoring committee at the State level and committees in the twenty one local government areas of the State to monitor the implementation.
On his part the Special Assistant to the Governor on Pentecostal Matters, Pastor Felix Ekeh called on their members to adhere to all the instructions given by the government, as governor Willie Obiano meant well for Ndi Anambra.
