Anambra Health Commissioner, Dr Vincent Okpala says his ministry will continue to partner with Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative-Family Health International (ANHI-FHI) in providing health services to HIV patients in the state.
The commissioner said this during a courtesy visit by a team from ANHI-FHI in his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka.
He applauded the team for their support in providing health facilities like HIV testing kits and anti retroviral drugs to patients that tested positive.
Dr Okpala reassured them of Governor Willie Obiano’s commitment to providing enabling environment for the partners, promising them continued cordial relationship that exists between them.
The team leader, Dr Christiana Laryian, said their visit was to brainstorm with the commissioner as well as to inform him about their activities in the state.
Dr Laryian, who is also Programme Director, ANHI-FHI commended the leadership style of the Anambra health commissioner, urging him to remain focused.
Anambra State AIDS Programme Coordinator, Dr Afam Anaeme thanked the group and wished them well.
