As part of its corporate social responsibility to the state, the Cutix Cables, Nnewi, has donated ten million naira worth of hospital equipment, to assist the Anambra State Government in ensuring that the Covid-19 pandemic does not extend into Anambra State.


Correspondent Joseph Egbeocha reports that while presenting the equipment, Mrs. Ijeoma Odionye, Chief Executive Officer of Cutix PLC, on behalf of the chairman, Engineer Ajulu Uzodike, said the gesture was in response to the State Government’s Call for assistance in preventing and cushioning the effects of the pandemic.    


 She expressed satisfaction with actions taken by the Government in the wake of the pandemic.


Receiving the equipment, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, thanked the donor for assisting the Government in championing the interest of Ndi-Anambra at this critical moment, and re-echoed the call on affluent members of the society, organizations, as well as communities to assist in cushioning the effects of lockdown needed to prevent the Coronavirus from spreading into Anambra State.  


On his part, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Vincent Okpala, said the donations have further strengthened the State Government Coronavirus preventive measures, restating that the State has had no case of the virus so far.
