Ohaneze Ndigbo, Anambra State Chapter, has donated the sum of two hundred thousand naira to Anambra state government to help its fight against the spread of Covid-19 in the state.
The organisation also offered its official bus for temporary use to enable the state government and the Covid-19 team convey essential materials promptly.
While presenting the cheque at the Government House Awka, the Anambra State Chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene expressed great satisfaction with the state government’s responsive approach against the spread of coronavirus in the state.
Chief Ogene who noted that the proactive measures by the state government has proven very effective as Anambra remains one of the states with the lowest index case, appealed for the support and cooperation of everyone to help the state government protect Ndi Anambra against the pandemic.
Receiving the cheque at the Government House Awka, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu while commending the Anambra Ohaneze, for the great support, appealed to others to emulate such level of patriotism .
