The Eagles Foods Processing Umuchu, in Aguata council area has donated
three hundred tubers of yam and sixty crates of egg to the less
privileged persons in the community.
The items were handed over to the executives of Umuchu Progressive
Union at the community’s town hall.
Correspondent Ngozi Obileri covered the event and nreports that while +presenting the items to the Umuchu Progressive Union, the Managing
Director Eagles Foods Processing Umuchu, Chief Ugochukwu Okpalaike
said it is their own contribution to support state’s government’s
efforts at cushioning the effect of sit at home order to stem the
spread of Covid- 19 in the state.
Chief Okpalaike represented by his son Mr. Chibuzo Okpalaike,
appreciated state government for the efforts and measure put in place
to reduce the occasioned by the epidemic on Ndi Anambra.
He called on all to ensure they keep to the rules for their own good
as according to him, all hands must be on deck to ensure that the
deadly virus is chased out of the state and the country at large.
Receiving the items on behalf of Umuchu Town Union, the first vice
chairman Umuchu Progressive Union, Mr. Abumchukwu Enemuo thanked the
Managing Director of Eagle foods for deeming it necessary to reach out
to the less privileged ones among them.
Mr. Enemuo commended Governor Willie Obiano for donating two hundred
bags of rice to the elderly in their community, and other members of
the community for toeing the part of the government by coming to the
rescue of the needy through donation of food items and called on other
affluent persons in the area to do more.
