The Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance,
APGA, Sir Norbert Obi, has called on Ndi Anambra and Ndi Igbo at
large, to live a life built on, charity, love, unity and kindness.
Sir Nobert, who made this call during an ABS television programme,
Talking Point, commended those that have responded to the state
government’s clarion call for assistance to the most vulnerable on
account of COVID-19.
He also commended others who have aided the survival of the indigent
ones in their various communities at this critical time.
The APGA state boss Sir Norbert while brainstorming on the topic
“charity given” noted the act of giving arms to one another,
especially to the indigent ones has a great spiritual significance.
While commending APGA for living out the spirit of “Onye Aghana Nwanne
Ya” during the COVID-19 lockdown by reaching out to downtrodden across
the three hundred and twenty-six political wards in the state with
food items which tends to cushion the economic and health challenges
occasioned by rampaging coronavirus, Sir Norbert appealed to other
corporate bodies and individuals to emulate such, as the situation at
hand demands kindness and charity giving.
Sir Norbert who commended the state government’s efforts in keeping
the state safe from the virus, through its thorough awareness
campaign, enforcement of COVID-19 preventive measures, provision of
economic stimulus packages for elderly and youths, among others,
called on the citizenry to be law abiding especially on keeping to all
the COVID-19 preventive guidelines as injury to one is injury to all.
