France and Spain, two of the hardest pandemic-hit countries in Europe,
are gradually easing the restrictions they imposed to prevent the
spread of the coronavirus.
Globally, more than four million cases of the coronavirus have been
confirmed, and one point four million people have recovered.
More than two hundred and eighty-two thousand and five hundred people
have died from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
Meanwhile, at least twenty people have been killed in attacks by
unidentified gunmen on several villages in the Western part of Niger
Republic.
Governor of the Tillaberi region, Mr Ibrahim Tidjani Katchella, said
the attacks were carried out by assailants on Motorcycles who pillaged
shops before heading to the Northern part of that Country.
The security situation in the region has rapidly deteriorated in
recent years despite the presence of a growing number of military
forces, including the French-led Operation Barkhane, United Nations
troops and the G-5 Sahel force,
