APGA, Sir Norbert Obi, has reiterated the commitment of his party to
the principles of zoning and rotation of the office of the governor in
the state.

irrevocably pick its flag bearer in next year’s gubernatorial election
from Anambra South Senatorial District.

of standard bearer in the 2021 gubernatorial poll was informed by its
strong belief in the golden rules of justice, equity, fairness and
good conscience.

by the decision it took with the blessing of its supreme leader, late
Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu in 2009 at Nteje in Oyi Local
Government Area, to ensure that the office of the governor of the
state is rotated among the three senatorial districts of the state.
Sir Norbert also observed that the zoning and rotation principle is
popular with Ndi Anambra and emphasized that APGA would be diligent in
its choice so as to select the most qualified governorship aspirant
from Anambra South as its candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial
race.
He noted that by the end of the second tenure of Governor Willie
Obiano in 2022, persons from Anambra North and Central districts would
have respectively occupied the office of the governor of the state for
longer periods of time than the South district
The Anambra APGA boss expressed gratitude to the Chief Emeka Anyaoku
led Anambra Elders Council for throwing its weight behind zoning and
rotation formula in Anambra state, adding that it is also on record
that a former vice president of Nigeria from Anambra state, late Dr.
Alex Ekwueme, was unequivocal in his support for the formula in his
life time.
Sir Norbert reiterated his call on the citizenry to sustain their
unflinching support and cooperation with the APGA led Obiano
administration in its socioeconomic development efforts, especially in
